Love Streak is a private app for two people. This page describes exactly what it stores, who can read it, which other companies are involved, and how to delete it.
The short version. Your account email and everything you write in the app is stored so it can sync between your devices and your partner's. Your linked partner can read the content you create — that is the entire point of the app. There are no ads, no analytics, no tracking pixels, and nothing is sold or shared for marketing.
What is stored
Your account
- Your email address, and a password if you did not sign in with Google. Passwords are handled and hashed by our authentication provider — they are never visible to us.
- A display name you choose.
- The email address of the partner you invite, and whether you described them as your husband, wife or partner.
- A random invite token, used to prove that whoever opens your invite link was actually invited by you.
What you create in the app
- Habits, weekly / monthly / yearly goals, and which days you completed them.
- Notes, goals, bucket-list items and milestone dates.
- Memories, including any photos you add. Photos are compressed in your browser and stored as encoded text inside your row of the database — there is no separate photo store and no public image URL.
- Your avatar, chosen background theme, language, and time zone.
- Reading lists, reading notes, focus and fasting timer state.
- Date-night plans and daily Love Action completions.
- Challenges, their forfeits, and the photo proof you post for them.
- Shared savings goals: the name, target and currency you choose, and each amount you add or take out with an optional note. These are numbers you type in yourself — Love Streak has no connection to any bank or payment account and never sees one.
- Letters you send — written text, and any voice or video recording you make. Recordings are encoded and stored as text in your own row of the database, the same way photos are; they are not uploaded to a separate media host and have no public URL.
- The YouTube video you choose as your slideshow song — the ID only, not the audio.
What is not stored
- No analytics, behavioural tracking, advertising identifiers or tracking pixels.
- No cookies are set by Love Streak itself. Your session is kept in your browser's local storage.
- No payment details — the app is free and takes no payments.
- No location data. Time zone is a setting you choose, not GPS.
- Love Streak does not make voice or video calls. To talk while watching or singing together, you call each other on your own app (Messenger, WhatsApp, FaceTime) — that conversation never touches Love Streak.
- Microphone and camera are used only while you are actively recording a letter, and the recording stays on your device until you press Send.
Who can see your data
Your linked partner. Once the two of you are linked, your partner can read the content you create in the app: your habits and streak, notes, goals, memories, milestones, avatar and status. This is the product working as intended — treat anything you put in Love Streak as shared with your partner.
Nobody else. Other users are not able to browse your account, and the app has no public profiles, no feed, no search and no discovery. If you unlink, you stop seeing each other's new content; content already synced to their device may remain there.
Companies involved
Love Streak is a small app built on other companies' services. Each one only receives what it needs to do its job:

Your data is not sold, rented, or shared with advertisers or data brokers.
AI features
When you ask for a book or reading summary, the title or link you provide is sent to an AI provider to generate the summary. Do not paste anything private into those fields that you would not want leaving the app. Your notes, memories and messages are never sent to an AI provider automatically.
How long it is kept
Your content is kept until you delete it or delete your account. Deleting an item in the app removes it from the database. Backups held by our hosting and database providers may retain copies for a short period afterwards under their own retention schedules.
Deleting your data
- Individual items — delete them in the app; they are removed from the database as well as your device.
- Your whole account — email the address below asking for deletion from the address you signed up with, and the account and its content will be removed.
- Local copies — signing out and clearing your browser's site data removes the copy stored on that device.
Children
Love Streak is intended for adults in a relationship. It is not directed at children, and accounts should not be created by anyone under 13 (or under the minimum age of digital consent where you live, if that is higher).
Security
Traffic is served over HTTPS, passwords are hashed by the authentication provider, and database access rules are used to keep each couple's content separated. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and be mindful that anything you save is visible to your linked partner.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or to object to its processing. Email the address below and we will action it. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that materially affects how your data is handled, the date at the top of this page will be updated. Continuing to use the app after a change means the updated policy applies.
